ed. 2. soldering due to its small siz e , the ther mal capacity of the pressure sensor dip type is lo w . theref ore , tak e steps to minimiz e the eff ects of e xter nal heat. damage and changes to char acter istics ma y occur due to heat def or mation. use a non-corrosiv e resin type of ?x. since the pressure sensor dip type is e xposed to the atmosphere , do not allo w ?x to enter inside . 1) man ual solder ing ?set the solder ing tip from 260 to 300 c 500 to 572 f (30w), and solder f or no more than 5 seconds . ?please note that output ma y change if the pressure is applied on the ter minals when the solder ing. ? thoroughly clean the solder ing iron. 2) dip solder ing (dip ter minal type) ?please k eep the dip solder bath temper ature no higher than 260 c 500 f . when solder ing, heat should be applied no longer than ? e seconds . ? when mounting onto a pcb of lo w ther mal capacity , please a v oid dip solder ing as this ma y cause heat def or mity . 3) solder re w or king ?finish re w or king in one oper ation. ?f or re w or king of the solder br idge , use a solder ing iron with a ?t tip . please do not add more ?x when re w or king. ?please use a solder ing iron that is belo w the temper ature giv en in the speci?ations in order to maintain the correct temper ature at the tip of the solder ing iron. 4) t oo m uch f orce on the ter minals will cause def or mation and loss in eff ectiv eness of the solder . theref ore , please a v oid dropping and careless handling of the product. 5) please control w ar ping of the pcb within 0.05 mm of the sensor width. 6) when cut f olding the pcb after mounting the sensor , tak e measures to pre v ent stress to the soldered par ts . 7) the sensor ter minals are designed to be e xposed, so contact of the ter minals with metal shards and the lik e will cause output errors . theref ore , please be careful and pre v ent things such as metal shards and hands from contacting the ter minals . 8) t o pre v ent deg r adation of the pcb insulation after solder ing, please be careful not to get chemicals on the sensor when coating. 9) please consult us regarding the use of lead-free solder . 3. connections 1) please perf or m connections correctly in accordance with the ter minal connection diag r am. in par ticular , be careful not to re v erse wire the po w er supply as this will cause damage or deg r ade to the product. 2) do not connect ter minals that are not used. this can cause malfunction of the sensor . 4. cleaning 1) since the pressure sensor chip is e xposed to the atmosphere , do not allo w cleaning ?id to enter inside . 2) a v oid ultr asonic cleaning since this ma y cause breaks or disconnections in the wir ing. 5. en vir onment 1) please a v oid using or stor ing the pressure sensor chip in a place e xposed to corrosiv e gases (such as the gases giv en off b y organic solv ents , sulfurous acid gas , h ydrogen sul?es , etc.) which will adv ersely aff ect the perf or mance of the pressure sensor chip . 2) t o ensure resistance to po w er supply super imposed noise , y ou m ust pro vide a capacitor at the po w er supply input ter minal of the sensor in order to stabiliz e the po w er supply v oltage . w e recommend to pro vide 0.1 f and 1,000 pf capacitor in par allel. please con? m the noise resistance with the actual equipment and choose adequate capacitor . 3) since the inter nal circuitr y ma y be destro y ed if an e xter nal surge v oltages is supplied, pro vide an element which will absorb the surges . 4) malfunctioning ma y occur if the product is in the vicinity of electr ical noise such as that from static electr icity , lightning, a broadcasting station, an amateur r adio , or a mobile phone . 5) since this pressure sensor chip does not ha v e a w ater-proof constr uction, please do not use the sensor in a location where it ma y be spr a y ed with w ater , etc. 6) a v oid using the pressure sensors chip in an en vironment where condensation ma y f or m. fur ther more , its output ma y ?ctuate if an y moisture adher ing to it freez es . 7) the pressure sensor chip is constr ucted in such a w a y that its output will ?ctuate when it is e xposed to light. especially when pressure is to be applied by means of a tr ansparent tube , tak e steps to pre v ent the pressure sensor chip from being e xposed to light. 8) a v oid using the pressure sensor chip where it will be susceptib le to ultr asonic or other high-frequency vibr ation. 6. quality c hec k under actual loading conditions to assure reliability , chec k the sensor under actual loading conditions . a v oid an y situation that ma y adv ersely aff ect its perf or mance . 7. other handling precautions 1) that using the wrong pressure r ange or mounting method ma y result in accidents . 2) the only direct pressure medium y ou can use is dr y air . the use of other media, in par ticular , corrosiv e gases (organic solv ent based gases , sulfurous acid based gases , and h ydrogen sul?e based gases , etc.) and media that contains moisture or f oreign substances will cause malfunction and damage . please do not use them. 3) the pressure sensor chip is positioned inside the pressure inlet. ne v er pok e wires or other f oreign matter through the pressure inlet since the y ma y damage the chip or b loc k the inlet. a v oid use when the atmospher ic pressure inlet is b loc k ed. 4) use an oper ating pressure which is within the r ated pressure r ange . using a pressure be y ond this r ange ma y cause damage . 5) since static charge can damage the pressure sensor chip , bear in mind the f ollo wing handling precautions . (1) when stor ing the pressure sensor chips , use a conductiv e mater ial to shor t the pins or wr ap the entire chip in alumin um f oil. plastic containers should not be used to store or tr anspor t the chips since the y readily become charged. (2) when using the pressure sensor chips , all the charged ar ticles on the bench surf ace and the w or k personnel should be g rounded so that an y ambient static will be saf ely discharged. 6) based on the pressure in v olv ed, giv e due consider ation to the secur ing of the pressure sensor dip type and to the secur ing and selection of the inlet tube . consult us if y ou ha v e an y quer ies .
